“Appena prima di…”

Appena prima di… è un progetto sviluppato sull’idea dell’attimo appena prima che accada qualcosa.

Le immagini ritraggono una serie di vegetali e frutti che, lasciati appassire sulla pianta, vengono fotografati un attimo appena prima di cadere. La stampa volutamente scura, quasi nera, tende a sottolineare il momento: un attimo appena prima del nero, del buio, dello spreco o, se preferiamo, della morte. Le ombre che intravediamo nel nero sono quei passaggi che ci accompagnano quotidianamente fino al buio profondo dello sconosciuto.

Il limite, il passaggio tra quello che conosciamo e quello che non conosciamo è il tema che accompagna queste immagini legate alla terra, al nostro mondo, alla nostra umanità e per certi versi al suo futuro ancora oggi ignoto.

Just before… is a project developed on the idea of the moment just before something happens.

The images depict a series of vegetables and fruits that, left to rot on the plant, are photographed just before falling. The deliberately dark, almost black print tends to emphasize the moment: a moment just before the black, the dark, the waste or, if we prefer, death. The shadows that we see in the dark are those passages that accompany us daily to the deep darkness of the unknown.

The limit, the passage between what we know and what we do not know, is the theme that accompanies these images linked to the land, to our world, to our humanity and in some ways to its future, still unknown today
